How we do it

- Take out the old filter and show it to you — it tells us about leaves, moisture or mould.
- Clear debris from the housing and check the AC condensate drain: standing water is a common cause of smell and damp carpets.
- Fit the new filter with the arrow in the airflow direction and test the fan at all speeds.
If the AC still smells
A new filter removes dust, not mould on the evaporator. If the smell stays after the filter change, you need AC cleaning and disinfection. If the AC doesn't cool well — AC diagnostics or an AC recharge.
