Auto Electrician: Diagnosticsand Repair
Auto electrician at PRO SERVICE (Batumi, Airport Highway 212): we trace and fix faults in wiring, fuses, relays, lighting, power windows, charging and parasitic battery drain. Electrical diagnostics from … GEL, 1-2 hours to find the fault. The repair is quoted once the cause is found.
Typical reasons to see an auto electrician
- The battery goes flat overnight or after a few days parked.
- The car will not start: the starter is silent or just clicks.
- Some lights, indicators, a power window, central locking or the head unit stopped working.
- Dashboard lights flicker, gauges behave on their own.
- Fuses keep blowing.
- Electrics after water got in: flooded interior, leaking windshield, engine bay wash.
How we find the fault
- Read module fault codes: on modern cars many circuits are monitored, and a code narrows the search.
- Test the battery under load and the charging voltage. Many "electrical" complaints start and end here.
- Measure parasitic drain with the ignition off and modules asleep, then pull fuses one by one to find the circuit.
- Check the wiring against the model's diagram for breaks, corroded connectors and chafed harnesses.
- Batumi's humid sea air corrodes connectors and grounds. That's a common cause of intermittent faults, especially on imported flood-damaged cars.
What affects the price
The price depends on how hard the fault is to reach and how often it shows. A broken wire in an easy spot is quick. A fault that shows up once a week, or wiring inside the dashboard or doors, takes longer. So diagnostics come first and the repair estimate second. With an intermittent fault, note when it appears (rain, car wash, bumps, warm-up). It shortens the search a lot.

FAQ
Why does my new battery keep dying?
Usually a module or relay that won't go to sleep and drains it, or weak charging from the alternator. Until that's fixed, a new battery goes flat too.
Can you fit extra equipment?
Alarms, dash cams and cameras we discuss separately. The aim is to avoid overloading factory circuits or creating a new drain.
How long does it take?
Finding the fault takes 1-2 hours. Repair time comes after diagnostics.
