Signs of a worn mount
- Vibration in the steering wheel, seats and pedals at idle, worse in D or R.
- A clunk or jolt when pulling away, shifting or lifting off the throttle.
- Knocking from the engine bay over bumps and speed humps.
- The engine rocks visibly when you blip the throttle.
- Cracked or separated rubber, fluid leaking from a hydraulic mount.

How we check and replace
- Inspection of all mounts on a lift: rubber, brackets, fluid traces on hydraulic mounts.
- Load test: the engine is rocked against the brakes in D and R while we watch its movement.
- The engine is supported on a jack or support bar and the worn mount removed.
- The new one is fitted and torqued to the manufacturer's data — without preload, otherwise vibration stays.
- Check at idle and on the road.
Why mounts wear out
Rubber ages with time, heat and oil. Potholes, curbs and Adjara mountain roads add shock loads. When one mount tears, the others take extra load — that is why we check the full set.

Can I drive with a torn mount?
Not for long. The engine moves more and loads the remaining mounts, hoses, exhaust and driveshafts. Better not to put it off.
Do all mounts need replacing at once?
Not necessarily. We replace the worn ones; if the rest are already cracked we will suggest the set — your call.
How much does engine mount replacement cost?

Vibration is still there after replacement — why?
It may be another mount, preload from fitting, or the engine itself (a misfire). We check each in turn.
