Modern VWs: tech that needs understanding

DSG. A dual-clutch automated gearbox, with dry clutches on some smaller models and wet ones on more powerful versions. Typical complaints: jerks pulling away, clunks on shifts, mechatronic faults, limp mode. An adaptation or a fluid change (on wet versions) often helps.
